This website is an extension of our existing shop. We have built our reputation on our ability to deliver a wide range of titles quickly, efficiently and at a cost-effective price.
To enhance our service, we have created this website giving the ability to search for a full range of titles and place orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please note that this website allows you to search around the titles currently available in the shop and all the titles we have ever had in stock. However we are able to order from more than 2 million of English and American books. So if you can’t find a book on our website, please send an e-mail to info@sterlingbooks.be!
The following help pages should answer many frequently asked questions, but if you have any further problems or queries, please don't hesitate to contact us.
To sign up simply click on ‘Your account’ in the left navigation bar and then select ‘New Customer’ to create an account.
If you made a purchase without first signing in, ‘Click here, if you are a new customer’ will appear. If you click on this link, you can enter your details to create an online account.

To do a Quick Search, place title word(s) or an author in the Search box on the home page and press the Go button. Only enter the main words. To speed up your search, try to leave out insignificant words, such as the, and, to, of etc.
The Advanced Search allows a more detailed search. You can locate an item by using one or more of the four different search fields (Title, Author, Publisher, ISBN). If you have filled in a search field, you can click on the Search button underneath the search fields. However you can also use the Browse button next to the search fields Title, Author and Publisher. This allows you to enter part of title, author or publisher and still get a search result.

Enter ‘Coe’ in the author field and click on ‘Search’: you will get a list of all the books available by Jonathan Coe.

Enter ‘Coe’ in the author field and click on ‘Browse’: you will get a list of all the authors beginning with ‘Coe’: Coelho, Coetzee etc.
To find out more about an item, click the title on the search results page. This will bring up the item detail window:

If the book is in stock, it will immediately be reserved for you.

If it is not in stock, we will order it for you. We will contact you by e-mail to let you know the delivery time. In general it will be +/- 1 week.

The price indicated is the price that will be charged. There is no extra cost for a reservation or an order.
Please note that the data base on our website contains all the books we have in stock at the moment or ever have had in stock (even if we don’t have them at the moment). If you are looking for a book you can’t find in our database, contact us. We have access to 2 million of English and American books and can easily order for you.

If the book is in stock, it will be immediately be reserved for you. If it is not in stock, we will order it for you.

Indicate the number of copies you would like.

Add to basket by clicking on ‘Order/reserve’.

Chose the delivery:

You will collect the book in the shop.

Press the ‘Send order/reservation’ button to complete your order.

Fill in you user name and password or if you are a new customer, select ‘Click here,’ if you are a new customer’ and fill in your details.

The order will be processed.

If the book was not in stock and had to be ordered, we will contact you by e-mail to let you know the delivery time.
The shopping basket allows you to save details of titles until you decide when to buy them.
Orders are made very quickly so cancellations are not usually possible. However, if you do find you have made a mistake please contact us immediately so that we can try to intercept your order.
If an item is faulty or if we have made a mistake we will be happy to offer a refund, an exchange or a credit note.
The consumer has the right to tell the seller that he does not want to make a purchase, without paying a fine and without needing to give a reason, for 7 working days following the day on which the product was supplied.
Books to be sent back must be sent – in the same condition that they were received – with adequate postage and packaging to Sterling Books, Wolvengracht 38, 1000 Brussels.
Collection: When your title is delivered to the shop, we will inform you by e-mail that it is ready for collection. You can collect your order from the shop when it's convenient for you and you will pay when you collect it. There is no extra charge for the order.
Delivery: If you have requested delivery, we will inform you by e-mail when the title has been dispatched. We will send you the book by post. There is no extra charge for the order. We will only charge for postage and packaging.

Postage is
charged on the basis of the weight of the book, at the rate applicable for
parcels sent by post. The average postage charge for one or two paperbacks to be sent in Belgium is € 4.70.
We can also organise a faster delivery service if you pay an extra (transport) cost. For this service, please send an e-mail to info@sterlingbooks.be.
